When you hear that you are facing a life-ending diagnosis for your baby, it is common to feel, among many other things, overwhelmed.

Common questions many families have include: What will my birth be like? What will my baby look like? How long will I have with my baby? Do I plan a memorial? Will my baby have a grave? How will I tell people?
As a trained professional in grief and loss, I can help walk you through your questions and choices, help you plan your birth and time with your baby, and guide you throughout.

Birth

No matter how far along your pregnancy is, no matter what the circumstances are, no matter if your baby is expected to be born alive or not, your birth matters. You deserve to be heard. I have training and experience in supporting people and families in pregnancy and infant loss, and would be honored to offer you support during your labor, birth, and after your baby is born.

Memory Making

Many families find comfort in creating mementos, something you can see or touch or wear, as a reminder of your pregnancy and your baby. I can work with you to create tangible reminders that help you feel close to your baby.

I can also help take photographs or connect you with photographers that specialize in bereavement. If you have any older children or close loved ones, we can work to create mementos for them as well.

Payment

I offer my grief and loss services without charge. Knowing the financial burden that comes with a loss, even beyond the emotional burden, it is important to me to be able to offer my services for free.

I also hope to ensure that grief and loss support is accessible to all.

Some families find it meaningful to pay something for my services. It can be helpful, though it is not expected, if you are able to pay for supplies used (such as with memory making), or to pay for my mileage or parking if applicable. Some families wish to pay my traditional fee for birth doula services, which is $1800, and payment plans are available.
